Design Brief
Choosing a local, non-franchise restaurant, I redesigned their menu based on existing design elements and their identity. This brief also includes a table tent that reflects these goals. I researched information about the restaurant such as their clientele, typefaces used in the existing menu, overall branding from the interior of the restaurant, as well as their online website and social media.

By incorporating a traditional border inspired through Japanese origin, this aligns with my keywords, traditional and modern.
I designed the ramen section in gray and each dish in red to emphasize it to the reader as these are signature dishes of the restaurant. The size of the menu measures at 10″ × 14″.
I chose Chaparral Pro Semibold for the names of each dish to contrast the sans serif, Barlow Semi Condensed, for the description. The combination of these typefaces allow for a welcoming and friendly energy.
Traditional, modern, and welcoming. This menu was designed to capture the identity and feelings the restaurant evokes from these keywords.
The table tent includes a QR code that directly sends you to Aoyama Ramen's website. The card stands at 4″× 6.
